They are human-looking dolls created to impersonate the “perfect” partner:
they respect the aesthetic and character canons desired by the buyer, who pays a large sum of money to say illusively goodbye to the problems of approach, the differences and the contrasts, the abandonments that hypothetically he/she could meet in a real relationship.
They can not yet walk but are sufficiently flexible for sexual intercourse, they share the interests of the aspiring partner, possess every somatic trait he/she desired, never grow old and promise a guaranteed and sure loyalty and, unlike a real partner, they are literally in the hands of the man/woman whom they can not escape: they do not go to work, they do not go to their friends, they do not nourish passions besides those contemplated by their “master”, they do not discuss, they do not express themselves, they will never wear a unwelcome dress, and with the passage of time they will not fill with wrinkles, nor grow fat or lose weight.
